Aims and scope

“Architectus” was established in 1997 and today is the oldest peer-reviewed academic journal in Poland with a solid publishing position, dedicated entirely to architecture and urban planning. For nearly a quarter of a century, “Architectus” has been documenting the latest scientific research, thus the journal has gained the status of a forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences on various aspects of the art of building. Studies presented in “Architectus” contribute significantly to deepening knowledge about the broadly understood shaping of space, as well as conservation and protection of the built environment. The quarterly journal publishes original scientific articles, announcements and book reviews in the following thematic areas:

“Architectus” also opens its pages to scientists conducting interdisciplinary research on issues related to architecture and urban planning, which do not fit into the listed thematic areas. Articles showing the connections of architecture with other fields of science are welcome.
