Correlations and statistical analyses in evaluating user preferences in participatory design of healthcare facilities

Abstract

This article presents examples of using statistical methods in researching declarations of healthcare facility users’ willingness to participate in designing these facilities, as well as the relationship between user expectations and evaluation of existing hospital built space.

Selected methods allowing for assessment of correlations between significant sociodemographic factors and user preferences concerning hospital space organization are discussed. Practical application of statistical analysis in the participatory design process is also presented.
