Abstract

This article examines the unconventional solutions in the Gothic structural system applied at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Wrocław and their potential impact on historical structural failures. The analysis of the church’s construction allows for the identification of elements that may have contributed to the building’s destabilization in the past.

Architectural surveys conducted on the structure revealed numerous construction features that deviate from typical Gothic solutions. The article presents the findings of these investigations in the context of historical structural catastrophes that affected the church.
